You must be at least 13 years old to use Cognitly. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Cognitly offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription ($14.99/month or $99.99/year, subject to change). Premium subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and can be cancelled through your app store account settings. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store’s refund policy, not directly by Cognitly.
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures on AI-powered features
- Use the App to generate or submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or intended to harm others
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the App’s underlying content library or source code
- Use the App in any way that could disable, damage, or impair its operation for other users
Cognitly and its content — including the fallacy library, audio narration, branding, and app design — are owned by Cognitly LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Text you submit for AI grading or analysis (such as rebuttal attempts) remains yours; by submitting it, you grant Cognitly a license to process it solely to provide the feature you're using.
Cognitly is an educational tool designed to build argument literacy and critical thinking skills. It is not professional legal, debate coaching, or psychological advice, and should not be relied upon as such.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cognitly LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
